Description
Grown in the vineyards adjacent to Castello di San Salvatore, Torai Cabernet Riserva is the result of a meticulous selection of the estate’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Sourced from century-old vines in the emblematic Torrai vineyard, the wine undergoes a very long ripening process.
The result is a wine with a graceful nose of wild berries, vanilla and herbaceous notes. On the palate, it’s a multi-faceted wine that can be austere yet warm, dry yet elegant! Magnificent with braised meat.
Production: From nearly 100 year-old vines. Part of the grapes are dried in drying lofts. Aged 12-24 months in 5 hl and 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
Tasting: Bordeaux-style. Rich, powerful and very complex. Aromas of cassis, cedar, raspberries, blackberries. On the palate, flavours of black and red berries are enhanced by well-integrated oak.
Pairings: Rich, stewed red meat dishes. Roast beef, lamb and game.
Alc. 13.5 % | Residual Sugar ± 3 g/l
