Description
Opera Omnia (DOC Bolgheri Superiore) represents the flagship of the La Madonnina estate, expressing the full nobility of the Bolgheri terroir. This exceptional wine combines power, depth, and elegance, under the guidance of renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
Production: Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah (in variable percentage, depending on each vintage peculiarities), this Bolgheri Superiore comes from vines planted in 2002 on clay and sandy soils, moderated by the sea breeze. Harvesting is done by hand to ensure careful selection of the grapes. After controlled fermentation at low temperature, the wine is aged extensively in French oak barrels, giving it richness, structure, and complexity.
Tasting: Deep ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose reveals refined aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and black cherry, enhanced by hints of fine wood, cocoa, and gentle spices. On the palate, the wine is broad and velvety, supported by fine, harmonious tannins. The persistent and elegant finish shows subtle minerality and a touch of balsamic notes. A wine of great stature, with a potential to age for 10 to 15 years.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with grilled beef fillet, roasted game, herb-crusted lamb, or aged cheeses such as Tuscan pecorino.
