Production: Querce Bettina created in 2016 a blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon that will satisfy the most sophisticated palates. The Sangiovese was aged in French oak casks for 12 months while the Cabernet Sauvignon was refined for 18 months in barrels of the same wood. This wine is a “comet” production that will not be produced every year but that will come back from time to time when the harvest will allow it.
Tasting: red fruit characteristics are complemented by spicy notes of cinnamon and balsamic notes. It is round on the palate and seductive. The Cometa is aimed at discerning consumers who like intensely aromatic and rich wines.
Pairings: Grilled meats, slow-roast red meats.
