Description
Production: from the Maremma region, specifically the hills of Fonteblanda, near Grosseto. Hand-picked grapes, fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserves the fruity aromas and maintains the freshness of the grapes. After malolactic fermentation, the wines mature for about 12 months in lightly toasted French oak barrels. After bottling, they are aged for around 36 months before reaching their optimal maturity for consumption.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red with aromas of plum, violet, cedar wood, blackcurrant, blackberry, and licorice. Velvety tannins and lively acidity enhance the intense flavors of blackcurrant and blackberry. The finish reveals notes of black pepper, licorice, dark chocolate, and a hint of cocoa. Harmonious and persistent, with fine tannins and a balanced body that invites another sip.
Pairings: this wine pairs perfectly with truffle risotto, grilled tuna, or rack of lamb.
