Created in 2003, the Amalia Cascina is located in in the town of Monforte d’Alba (Cuneo-Piedmont), in the Langhe region, an area that was declared in 2014 a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the outset, the Boffa family who owns the winery, wanted to produce high quality wine that respected the territory and tradition in an elegant and reserved location.

Their vineyards produce the typical wines of the zone: Dolcetto and Barbera. They have additional vineyards in the prestigious cru Barolo Bussia and Coste in Monforte. The combination of the land with a temperate climate characterized by ample rainfall in the spring and autumn, hot summers and significant temperature variations between day and night in the pre-harvest period give the grapes unique characteristics that can only be found in this area.

Amalia wines are the product of the vineyard and the terroir and are made in a winery where technological innovation closely and respectfully supports tradition. Only stainless steel, temperature-controlled vats are used to make the wine and French oak barrels, barriques and tonneau barrels are used for aging some of their wines.
