Azienda Agricola Gradis’ciutta belongs to the Princic family and is situated in the north eastern part of Italy. A lineage with ancient country roots in all of Collio, that over the centuries, with the work of men and women, has known viticulture, fruit harvesting and olive harvesting.
In 1910, the great-grandfather of present owner, Robert Princic, moved to Giasbana, in the commune of San Floriano, working in Collio, a locality of viticultural excellence since 1787. From a one hectare vineyard – with vines of Tocai Friulano, Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla – it was passed down the family, who, over the years enlarged it to an estate that encompassed 20 hectares, of which eight are planted to vines.
Today, thanks to the work of the entire family, the estate has reached 18 hectares of vines out of a total of 30 hectares. They cultivate the varieties handed down from our ancestors; Ribolla Gialla and Friulano (Tocai). Besides these, they also have numerous international vines: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon, among the whites and Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot among the reds.
