Located in Valiano, in the hills of Montepulciano, Palazzo Vecchio is a 25-hectare family estate deeply rooted in the terroir of the Valdichiana. Since the 1980s, the Sbernadori-Zorzi family has been dedicated to expressing this iconic Tuscan region with precision, focusing primarily on Sangiovese, traditionally known here as Prugnolo Gentile.

The vineyards, spread across 13 parcels between 280 and 350 metres above sea level, benefit from conditions that favour slow ripening and freshness. Handwork in the vineyards, a sustainable approach to farming, and winemaking that places the emphasis on fruit and terroir are at the heart of the estate’s philosophy. The result is a range of expressive, elegant and structured wines, where Sangiovese strikes a natural balance between freshness, depth and finesse.

The portfolio naturally places Vino Nobile di Montepulciano at its centre, alongside Rosso di Montepulciano and more ambitious wines such as Terrarossa, produced only in the finest vintages from a selection of grapes sourced from the estate’s oldest vines. Palazzo Vecchio offers a genuine and approachable expression of one of Tuscany’s great appellations, faithful to the terroir and winemaking traditions of Montepulciano.
