Description
“Deliciousness with robustness”
Paul Janin’s Piémont 2023 is much more than just a Beaujolais-Villages! It is an explosion of flavor, the result of meticulous expertise, embodying the perfect balance between crisp fruit and a strong structure. The vines, aged between30 and 60 years old, are in full bloom and give the wine all its minerality and depth.
Production: The harvest, carried out entirely by hand, is carefully transported in small crates (35 kg) to preserve the integrity of the berries. Rigorous sorting is carried out to select only the best fruit. Vinification takes place over 12 to 15 days before pressing, with 80% of the grapes vinified whole. The wine is then left to rest in vats on its lees for 8 months. The final blending of the different parcels is only carried out after tasting, just before bottling, to ensure the complexity and harmony of this cuvée.
Tasting notes: Piémont offers a fruity and structured profile. It promises a beautiful expression of Gamay, with a rich palate supported by a solid and elegant tannic structure, typical of a Beaujolais-Villages with character.
Pairings: It’s hard to beat a combination as effective as Beaujolais and a charcuterie platter.
