Production: From the rare Wildbacher grape variety, planted by Count Antonio Collalto in the 18th century. Aged in 40 hl oak barrels for 18 to 24 months.
Tasting: Intense and deep cherry-ruby red colour, with garnet hues. On the nose, notes of ripe wild blackberry and other berries, tobacco leaf, wild herbs, spices, earthy and ash notes, well-integrated oak. Medium to full-bodied, its long maturation in oak barrels moderates its vigorous tannins in an elegant way. Fresh acidity, assertive flavours reminiscent of the nose as well as cranberry and pomegranate. .
Pairings: Grilled and braised red meats, ribs, charcuterie.
